Last week, DDK & Company and other firm delegates gathered in San Francisco for the 2018 Morison KSi Conference. DDK Partner and Morison KSi principal contact, Eleduvina Lopez, represented the firm in San Francisco. The delegates and companions met for three days of networking, knowledge sharing and uncovering business opportunities.
Morison KSi is a global association that provides quality, border free professional services. DDK & Company is one of 160 member firms selected on the quality and energy of our people and practice. Through this affiliation, DDK can offer clients unparalleled guidance on international audits and funding proposals, offshore structures, international trading and cases relating to nationality and immigration.
The conference welcomed some high-profile professional speakers from the accountancy profession. Carl Peterson from the AICPA shared his wealth of experience in the keynote, “Go beyond: Preparing your firm for the future of the profession.” Allan Koltin (Koltin Consulting Group) enthusiastically presented on “Life cycles and evolutions of firms: How to thrive in a world of dynamic changes.”
Delegates also enjoyed member-led sessions including a presentation from Corey Fischer (Weinberg & Co) on publicly traded companies, a collaborative success story from representatives of Morison KSi’s German member firms – Christian CLingen (WTF), Doris Moraschi (bmi auditax GmbH), Holger Fessler (Kanzlei Wangler) and Simone Wick (DIERKES partner).
The Conference also included Common Interest Groups (CIGs) and a lively marketing and business development panel discussion. Thanks to all CIG leaders and presenters.
In addition to the professional sessions, delegates and companions enjoyed a varied networking program, organized to dedicate time for delegates to network together to strengthen relationships and uncover business opportunities. The program included dinner and entertainment at some of the city’s most exclusive restaurants and venues and a visit to some of Northern California’s world famous wineries.
Special thanks are due to host firm, Sensiba San Filippo LLP, for their excellent support and assistance in organizing this memorable conference in San Francisco!
